Q1: What is BreederDAO?

BreederDAO is the factory for mass customization and creation of digital goods for virtual worlds. We’re an a16z and Delphi digital backed project specializing in web3 games and metaverse, specifically in the realm of game and metaverse items.

We started during the height of Axie Infinity and other Play-to-earn games. The height of play-to-earn games triggered the emergence of the gaming guilds model in web3, which brought about an influx of player liquidity. With that, demand for quality assets was outstripping supply. However, these were either unavailable to buy on demand or purchased in bulk via the marketplace, or exist but at a premium. Starting with blockchain games, BreederDAO saw an opportunity to specialize in in-game asset generation, mastering the complexities of in-game item creation mechanics and utilizing data analytics, specialized automated tools developed in-house, as well as access to our strong partners of games and guilds, to build an end-to-end supply chain for these assets at the time.

However, our vision doesn’t stop there, we see virtual in-game items to be the building blocks of the metaverse as they’ve always been for games, and we aim to supply and create the tools in order to enable world-building not just for blockchain games but also for various digital world.

Q2: Why focus on digital assets?

Whole game economies have been built centered on virtual items. Apart from that, virtual items play a big role in how people interact with virtual worlds and other players within the game (e.g trading, selling, social signaling, etc). We see that the need for quality digital assets will continue to grow as our worlds become more digital.

Q3: What is BreederDAO currently working on?

BreederDAO is building an eco of products and services centered on virtual items, creating value and enabling value-creation for our users and customers through virtual items.

At the heart of our business is still our core gaming operations, wherein we find opportunities to be direct market participants in the different emerging game economies, utilizing our expertise to maximize value creation both for us and our customers. 
- Within this vertical, we realized that some or most of the in-house tools we’ve built could actually be beneficial to more people, which lead to the launch of Playcore. Playcore is mainly an onboarding platform that aggregates data/analytics and information about anything and everything web3 gaming. It not only provides you with content but also is a tools hub to enable you to elevate your gaming performance. Think of it as your central dashboard of sorts.

Another platform that we’re about to launch is Creatorverse. Contrary to how it seems, CV is not just a game, but a gaming platform that enables users to create game experiences harnessing blockchain through our Creatorverse Engine.

The question of how blockchain can effectively add value to virtual items and assets is something that no one has really cracked or figured out. With that, Creatorverse is our contribution to that conversation, our playground of sorts, showcasing various blockchain tech applications relative to assets, to also act as a catalyst for others. Our first launch will be a roguelite game that acts as a proof of concept of the kind of stuff people can actually build on the platform. This also acts as our introduction to the power and possibilities of the Creatorverse.

Q4: What benefit do $BREED Holders have and can look forward to relative to this eco?

The main beneficiary that we have in mind in our creation of all these tools and services are our BREED holders. We seek to be able to Flow back the most value to them first and foremost.

Factory Drops is a channel that we created that allows for BREED holders to access free NFTs from the most exclusive and coveted gaming projects. It’s our way to lower the barriers to entry for players by providing them with these assets that are hard to purchase due to either exclusivity, price, or both. So, instead of just whitelists, we give away actual free NFTs to our holders. For one of our drops, we gave away 7.5 ETH by giving away 5 Free Overworld NFTs. Our next drops are happening soon so you should hold BREED if you’d like to qualify for that.

Apart from that, we have big things in store as well for Creatorverse very very soon, we’re launching something in the next month or so, and BREED holders will have access to that as well.
