Abstract generation in progress

Park Gyuri, a founding member of the K-pop group Kara, is facing new allegations related to the cryptocurrency project Pica Coin – managed by her ex-boyfriend Song Ja-ho. Park was previously listed as the communications director of the project but asserts that she only worked in the role of art curator and is not involved in any fraudulent activities or price manipulation.

She stated that she invested 60 million won in Pica Coin by selling her personal Bitcoin but lost everything when the coin was delisted from Upbit in June 2021. However, the CEO of Pica affirmed that Song refunded Park and provided chat evidence between the two.

The case is under investigation as Song was arrested in 2023 for fraud and price manipulation. Park is currently touring Asia with Kara but declined to comment further.
