People always overestimate how much they can accomplish in a day, but underestimate the changes they can achieve in a year. It's like I always think I must master the new guitar piece today, yet I can't even play the intro smoothly. But looking back over the year, from initially being unable to press the chords to now being able to play and sing several songs completely, those intermittent practices have indeed left traces on my fingertips.



Fitness is the same. You always fantasize that this training will help you lose three pounds, but after the workout, the scale shows no change. However, after three months of persistence, you suddenly realize that all the pants in your closet have become loose. Time works this way; it never betrays your daily small efforts, it just likes to accumulate surprises and give them to you all at once.
