The European Central Bank keeps the interest rate unchanged, ending a cycle of seven consecutive rate hikes.

On July 24, the European Central Bank kept the deposit facility rate unchanged at 2%, in line with market expectations, after cutting rates in seven consecutive meetings. The main refinancing rate and the marginal lending rate remained unchanged at 2.15% and 2.40%, respectively.
