Max Keiser: "Ethereum is already dead, just not buried yet"
"Ethereum is dead. It just hasn't been buried yet. In fact, it turned out to be stillborn. What an incredible waste of time and energy," Kaiser wrote on social media.
As a Bitcoin maximalist, Max Keiser made these sharp remarks after Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin praised the simplicity of Bitcoin. He suggested that developers apply similar principles to the development of Ethereum and simplify its core protocol. Buterin emphasized that the growing complexity of Ethereum creates risks of errors and increases maintenance costs.
Nevertheless, this is not the first attack by Kaiser against Ether. He previously referred to the transition of Ether to the Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm (PoS) as "clowning." Last year, Kaiser recommended that the authorities of Argentina reconsider including Ether in their cryptocurrency development strategy. Kaiser called Ether a "fraudulent coin" and stated that adopting one Bitcoin would better serve the country's economic interests. He then predicted the collapse of Ether, emphasizing that in El Salvador, this cryptocurrency is considered an unregistered security.
Previously, Kaiser predicted an economic collapse and stated that sooner or later the whole world would transition to the Bitcoin standard, which would play an important role in the development of the financial sector.
