Citi: It is expected that the Fed will cut interest rates by 25 basis points at each meeting before July next year.
Odaily Star Daily News According to a team of Citigroup economists led by Andrew Hollenhorst, a loose labor market will ease inflationary pressures in the service sector, and weak global conditions will suppress commodity prices. This will lead to the Fed taking aggressive action, with a 25 basis point rate cut expected at each meeting before July next year, bringing the federal funds Interest Rate to between 3% and 3.25%. This is much lower than market expectations, which predict that the federal funds Interest Rate will reach around 4% at that time. (Jinshi)
