The Lebanese government claims to accept the proposal to disarm Hezbollah, with several ministers protesting.
Jin10 data reported on August 8, local time on the 7th, the Lebanese cabinet, presided over by President Joseph Aoun, again discussed the US-proposed ceasefire plan between Lebanon and Israel. The proposal involving the disarmament of Hezbollah is particularly noteworthy. The Lebanese government stated afterwards that it had agreed to the plan, but emphasized that the implementation of the plan depends on Israel fulfilling its commitments to withdraw and ceasefire. However, the cabinet meeting that day did not proceed smoothly. Several ministers from Hezbollah and its allies walked out in protest midway through the meeting, expressing strong dissatisfaction with the plan. Hezbollah issued a statement saying that the convening of this meeting was "due to pressure from the United States," calling it a "serious mistake," and stated that it would regard the proposal for "disarmament of Hezbollah" as "nonexistent."
