According to Gate News bot, Cointelegraph reported that internet celebrity "Hawk Tuah Girl" Haliey Welch disclosed in a podcast that she is under investigation by the FBI and SEC for promoting the HAWK meme coin, and FBI investigators had visited her grandmother's house for questioning.
After the issuance of HAWK coin in December 2023, its value dropped by 90%, and it was identified as an exit scam. Welch provided his phone to the FBI and SEC during the investigation, ultimately proving his innocence.
Welch admitted that she lacked knowledge about cryptocurrency and stated that she trusted the wrong person. The promotional video posted on her X account was actually controlled by others, and she only received marketing fees without profiting from the token transactions.
