[Google Clarifies It Will Not Restrict Unhosted Crypto Wallets] Google previously sparked criticism in the market by seemingly planning to ban unregistered unhosted crypto wallets in multiple countries, including the US and UK, starting in October, as stated in the Google Play "Crypto Assets Exchange and Software Wallet Policy" announcement. However, the company later clarified on the X platform that unhosted wallets are not within its restriction scope and will update the help center to specify this. Google's new policy will take effect on October 29 and primarily targets hosted exchanges and software wallets that need to comply with regulations.
