CESS: Innovative Decentralization Storage Infrastructure

With the arrival of the Web3 era, decentralized storage networks have gradually become the focus of people's attention. Although traditional decentralized storage technology performs well in file storage, it often encounters performance and speed bottlenecks in dApps, especially during file retrieval. This is mainly because the distributed nature can lead to file retrieval speeds being slower than centralized services.

To address this challenge, CESS was born. As a physical infrastructure network, CESS consists of three functional layers: the public chain layer, the storage layer, and the content distribution layer ( DCDN ).

How CESS of the DEPIN network is different from other decentralized storage facilities

The public chain layer is developed based on Substrate and integrates the EVM Pallet module, supporting seamless operation of Ethereum smart contracts. The storage layer employs a decentralized cloud storage system, processing files through technologies such as encryption, sharding, and redundancy, and distributing data to storage nodes. The DCDN layer is planned for release in 2025, aiming to enhance content access speed and reliability through CDN technology.

The decentralized characteristics of CESS are reflected in its node network and innovative consensus mechanism. The node network includes consensus nodes, storage nodes, cache nodes, and retrieval nodes, all of which participate in network operations. In terms of consensus algorithms, CESS adopts a reputation rotation consensus (R²S), selecting verification nodes through point ranking.

In addition, CESS has introduced innovative mechanisms such as Multi-Replica Recoverable Storage Proof ( PoDR² ), Idle Space Proof ( PoIS ), and Proxy Re-Encryption Technology ( PReT ), further enhancing the network's security, efficiency, and privacy protection capabilities.

What makes the DEPIN network CESS different from other decentralized storage facilities

The CESS ecosystem has launched multiple products, including Deshare for individual users, the decentralized file sharing platform Decloud, and the enterprise-level storage solution DeOSS. These products provide strong support for the NFT market and other Web3 applications.

How does the DEPIN network CESS differ from other decentralized storage facilities

CESS is led by an experienced team, with members including professionals with rich management and technical backgrounds. The project has received investment support from several well-known institutions, demonstrating strong development potential.

What makes DEPIN network CESS different from other decentralized storage facilities

Compared to other decentralized storage networks, CESS's advantages lie in a higher degree of Decentralization, enhanced security and privacy protection, the efficient file reading capabilities provided by the upcoming DCDN, and the network stability and cost-effectiveness brought by the innovative consensus algorithm.

How does DEPIN network CESS differ from other decentralized storage facilities

The development of CESS is worth paying attention to for several reasons: the team has a solid background and the project is developing steadily; the technical architecture has strong compatibility and supports the development of various smart contracts; it provides comprehensive Web3 infrastructure, offering ample space for application development; after long-term development, the ecosystem has taken shape.

What is the difference between DEPIN network CESS and other decentralized storage facilities

Although CESS has not yet issued tokens, its ecological products are already available for experience, and users can participate in early ecological construction by building nodes. With the continuous development of the project, CESS is expected to become one of the important decentralized storage infrastructures in the Web3 era.

According to the White Paper, this architectural design can theoretically solve the TPS bottleneck, but does anyone have the actual performance testing data?
