SCAI partners with Irys to build a new infrastructure for global research data, challenging the trillion-dollar academic publishing system.
It is reported that the decentralized research platform SCAI has announced a partnership with the leading data infrastructure project Irys, officially migrating its 100TB of research data to Irys's decentralized network. Sci-Hub is the world's largest repository of scientific literature. This collaboration is not only an important technical implementation for the sharing of scientific knowledge but also marks a key step in the disruption of the traditional academic publishing system by decentralized infrastructure.
Currently, researchers around the world generally face issues such as limited data access, high publishing costs, and a lack of value feedback for knowledge. According to statistics, the traditional academic publishing industry has an annual revenue of up to 32.1 billion dollars, yet it hardly provides any returns to content creators. SCAI's goal is to break this inequality through Web3 and AI technologies.
Based on Irys' data chain technology, SCAI has created a research ecosystem that supports permanent storage, intelligent retrieval, community-driven contributions, and incentives.
